From WWE Champ To MMA Champ, Bobby Lashley Captures Shark Fight Gold

In a fight that flew under the radar with the big UFC on Fox show on Saturday night, Bobby Lashley defeated Karl Knothe by first round submission to capture the Shark Fights Heavyweight Title. The belt was vacated by The Ultimate FIghter alum, Darill Schoonover. Lashley over powered Knothe and was able to lock up an Americana to finish the fight at 3:44 of the opening round.

Knothe was the fourth opponent change for Lashley. He stepped in on just three days notice after his former opponents drop out. He was riding a 12 fight win streak prior to being man handled by Lashley.

Shark Fights 21 which didn’t get the media coverage it deserved will air tape delayed on FUEL TV on December 23, 2011.
