On Friday, the UFC® will debut the new flyweight division beginning with a four-man tournament to help narrow down the inaugural champion in this exciting new weight class. For the top contenders in this competition, this opportunity is a long time coming and a validation of each of their journeys.
The four men competing in this tournament are the top of the weight class. The first fight in the semi finals is between Joseph Benavidez and Yasuhiro Urushitani, with the second being between #1 ranked flyweight Ian McCall taking on former #1 bantamweight contender Demetrious Johnson.
