|

UFC 148 is billed to be one of the biggest events of the year, coupled with the UFC Fan Expo Las Vegas will be the place to be on the weekend of July 7.

Today two new fights got added to the developing bill, Tim Boetsch will look for his second-straight upset victory against British posterboy Michael Bisping and bantamweights collide with Renan Barao facing Jeff Hougland.

Boetsch transformed his career from a middle of the pack light-heavyweight to a top-flight middleweight with three-straight wins, most recently knocking former title-challenger Yushin Okami senseless.

Bisping snapped his four-bout win streak with a highly competitive battle with number-one contender Chael Sonnen, the loud-mouthed Brit is believed to be nearing the top of the pack despite this recent setback.

Barao hasn’t tasted defeat since his professional debut in 2005, boasting an incredibly 29-bout unbeaten streak including recent defeats of Brad Pickett and former top-contender Scott Jorgensen.

Hougland comes in with nothing to lose, riding a nine-bout win streak including his first octagon victory over Donny Walker most consider the Washington native to be a sacrificial lamb but stranger things have happened in mixed martial arts.
