The winds have certainly taken a swift and fast change of direction towards the Asian MMA scene.

Today, the Singapore-based ONE Fighting Championship officially announced ONE Asia Summit – A meeting that will supposedly change the entire landscape of Asian Mixed Martial Arts.

In the last six months, we have completely changed the game for the sport of mixed martial arts in Asia. This is a result of the synergistic efforts within the ONE FC Network and the outstanding support from the network’s exclusive partners. My vision is to create the best MMA network in Asia by choosing strategic partnerships made up of only the best promotions, gyms, sponsors, and media companies in the region,” said Victor Cui, the CEO and owner of ONE Fighting Championship. “The ONE Asia MMA Summit 2012 is an opportunity for us to come together to share ideas, to harness the phenomenal growth of MMA in Asia, and to create opportunities for all.”

This invitation-only summit will span across 2 days, from June 1-3 2012. Prominent leaders from all the major Asian promotions and gyms such as DREAM, URCC, Evolve MMA, Juggernaut FC and Muayfit, are expected to be in attendance. Furthermore, ONE Fighting Championship’s media partners (ESPN Starsports, Mediacorp, etc.) along with its sponsors (Energizer, Schick, Sony, etc.) will be present too.

The event will be taking place at the Marina Bay Sands, the world’s most expensive resort and casino.

After seeing the success of ONE FC 3: War of the Lions, in which the promotion saw its record attendance, ONE FC 4: Destiny of Warriors is expected to provide a stacked card as well, along with more thrills and spectacular finishes.

The event will be taking place at the Stadium Negara in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on June 23rd. The fight card will be announced soon.

With its ever-growing popularity and power, ONE Fighting Championship will soon be a major force to be reckoned with in all of Mixed Martial Arts.
