Las Vegas, Nevada – UFC® light heavyweight champion Jon “Bones” Jones has scored consecutive victories over four former champions en route to launching a dominant reign atop the 205-pound division. On Saturday, Sept. 1 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, the 24-year-old superstar seeks his fifth win over an elite champion when he meets former PRIDE® and STRIKEFORCE® titleholder Dan Henderson.

Owning consecutive wins over former champions Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, Lyoto Machida and Rashad Evans, the dynamic Jones faces a stern test in the hard-punching “Hendo.” Riding four straight wins, including a decision victory in his 2011 Fight of the Year candidate with Shogun, the 41-year-old possesses the power, experience and grappling pedigree to upend the seemingly unbeatable champion.

“Dan Henderson is a mixed martial arts legend,” Jones said. “While I have been able to defeat some of the best fighters in UFC history as the light heavyweight champion, this will be my toughest challenge yet.”

“He’s never fought anyone like me,” Henderson said. “I’m excited to fight somebody that people think is unbeatable. It inspires me.”
