George Sotiropoulos is looking forward to representing his country on TUF Smashes

|

TUF Smashes: Team UK vs. Team Australia is set to go down later this year, as filming began on July 19. The coaches of the upcoming season are two former TUF contestants, George Sotiropoulos (Team Australia) and Ross Pearson (Team UK.)

Sotiropoulos competed on Season 6 of The Ultimate Fighter and made it to the semi-finals, while Pearson competed and won Season 9.

The folks over at Lowkick.com recently chat with the Team Australia coach, Sotiropoulos about his experience coaching TUF.

It’s a really good experience. It’s very positive, and I’m happy to pass my knowledge to all the great fighters we have on our team. More than anything, I really feel like I’m representing my country. We have a lot of talent on our team. I think the fans will be surprised by how competitive is this season. There are some fighters with pretty good records. You guys definitely won’t be disappointed.

When asked about fighting Pearson, he responded with a ton of enthusiasm.

Yeah, I’m absolutely looking forward to fight him. Yeah, there’s a lot of pride on the line in this fight. I represent my country on this show, so beating Ross Pearson is definitely on my “to do” list.

There has been no date set for the debut of TUF Smashes, but Sotiropoulos has a statement for you in anticipation for it, “expect exactly what the name says – TUF Smashes. The name says it all.”
