Anderson Silva says promoting the UFC is his new job; "I'm the black Dana"

|

There aren’t many occasions where UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva is at an event in which he is not fighting. He has made a special trip to Montreal, Quebec, Canada in order to watch UFC 154. More specifically the main event fight between UFC Welterweights Georges St-Pierre and Carlos Condit.

UFC President Dana White made mention that if St-Pierre wins against Condit, his next opponent would be Silva in the super-fight fans have been waiting a long time for.

Prior to the UFC 154 event, Silva met with the media and covered numerous topics.

Many thought he was in Montreal to meet St-Pierre in the cage if in fact he wins, The Spider stated otherwise, “This is not me.” In his opinion though, the current Welterweight king-pin St-Pierre will come out on top at UFC 154.

One reason he is in Montreal is to possibly promote the fight with St-Pierre. He said promoting the UFC is his new job, in fact he called himself, “The black Dana!”

Obviously, the MMA community is banking on St-Pierre winning so we get to see the super-fight. However, if he doesn’t then he said he doesn’t know who he would fight next, but Chris Weidman is a possibility.

With only two fights left on Silva’s UFC contract many are hoping for the GSP win in the UFC 154 main event.
