Dana White says offering Georges St-Pierre and Anderson Silva $50mil to fight is "The stupidest s*&t I've ever heard"

|

The super-fight that fans around the world want to see is UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva vs. UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre. Word on the street was that the UFC offered up $50,000,000 for this fight to happen.

At today’s UFC 158: St-Pierre vs. Diaz kick-off press conference in Montreal the super-fight topic came up and  UFC President Dana White was asked about the rumoured price tag. His answer was simple.

“That’s the stupidest shit I’ve ever heard!”

The St. Pierre-Silva talk has been moved to the back burner for the time being as St-Pierre is set to face Nick Diaz at UFC 158 on March 13, 2013 at Montreal’s Bell Centre.

St-Pierre is riding a 10-fight winning streak, with his most recent victory over Carlos Condit at UFC 154 this past November.

Silva is riding an even bigger winning streak at 17. He stepped up on short notice to fight Stephan Bonnar at Light Heavyweight this past October to save the UFC 153 fight card and extended his UFC record for most consecutive wins.
