Michael Bisping defeats Alan Belcher by Doctor Stoppage

|

The trash talking came to an end as Michael Bisping squared off against Alan Belcher in the UFC 159 co-main event.

The first round started out as a big feeling out process, but with about two minutes left in the round Bisping found his range. He was landing numerous jabs and punching combinations.

Round two both men rushed to the centre of the octagon and began throwing. Bisping again found his range early and landed constantly. Belcher had his hands down and seemed to be gassed with a couple minutes left in the round. Bisping landed punches at will to end the round.

Belcher began the third rushing into an overhand right that missed. The rest of the round was all Bisping. Late in round 3 Bisping caught Belcher in the eye with an open finger which forced the doctor to stop the fight.

Michael Bisping def. Alan Belcher by technical decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)
