Tim Boetsch welcomed Mark Munoz back to the Octagon after a lengthly lay-off at UFC 162.
Boetsch was able to utilize the wrestling right off the bat and grab himself a takedown. The fight made its way back to the feet and Munoz was able to score a couple takedowns. The second of which found him in a dangerous position, as Boetsch locked up a fairly tight guillotine choke. Late in the round the two scrambled back to their feet and Munoz landed some great combinations.
The wrestling of Munoz dictated the second round, utilizing numerous takedowns. With those takedowns, he landed some serious ground and pound to damage Boetsch. The round finished with Munoz landing some nasty body shots, followed by some knees to the chest.
Round three started out the same way round two ended. Munoz was able to land a takedown and just brutalize Boetsch for the entire round. He finished off the round with a bang, landing some significant strikes.
