T.J. Waldburger vs. Adlan Amagov set for UFC 166

A freshly healed-up submission ace will take on a Russian knock-out machine at UFC 166 in a welterweight match in October.

T.J. Waldburger vs. Adlan Amagov set for UFC 166

Bloody Elbow reported the news of this fight earlier today.

T.J. Waldburger (16-7) returns to the UFC’s welterweight division after recovering from an injury that forced him out of a bout with Sean Pierson at UFC 161. Last seen defeating Nick Catone by technical submission due to a Triangle Choke at the TUF 16 finale, Waldburger is currently 3-2 in the UFC, with 2 of his wins being finishes. Will he be able to take the Russian smashing machine Amagov down and make him tap, snap, or nap?

Adlan “Borz” Amagov (12-2-1) is another member of the Soviet Bloc contingent currently sharpening their teeth at Jackson’s MMA. Unlike his counterparts in Rustam Khabilov and Azamat Gashimov, however, “Borz” is lead-limbed striker who has scored 7 of his wins by some form of knockout. Will he be able to make it 8 against the ace grappler, Waldburger?

UFC 166 goes down on October 19th at the Toyata Center in Houston, TX. The bout is currently headlined by a heavyweight title trilogy bout between champion Cain Velasquez and his arch-rival, Junior dos Santos. Stay tuned to MMASucka.com for more on this and other upcoming events.
