“The Magician” will be rolling out the welcome mat for the “Mongoose” on October 19th in Houston, TX.

MMA Junkie confirmed the news of this bout with UFC officials yesterday.

John Dodson vs Darrell Montague slated for UFC 166

John “The Magician” Dodson (14-6) first brought attention (and ire) to himself as a cast member of the 14th season of The Ultimate Fighter, winning the bantamweight portion of the contest. The Jackson’s MMA product has lightning in his hands, with stoppage victories over fighters like T.J. Dillashaw and Jussier “Formiga,” was last seen in a losing effort against flyweight kingpin Demetrious Johnson at UFC on Fox 6. Will “The Magician” be able to put down the “Mongoose” and return to his winning ways?

Darrell “The Mongoose” Montague (13-2) comes into the UFC with a good history behind him. A top flyweight in the days when Tachi Palace Fights was the place to go for the best action at 125 lbs., the Millenia MMA product has 10 finishes in his 13 victories, including a win over UFC veteran Ulysses Gomes. Will he be able to strike first and take out “The Magician” in his promotional debut?

UFC 166 goes down on October 19th at the Toyota Center in Houston, TX. The card is currently headlined by a heavyweight title trilogy bout between the champion, Cain Velasquez, and his arch-rival, Junior dos Santos. Stay tuned to MMASucka.com for more on this and other upcoming events.
