|

As we head closer towards ROAD FC 013, the fight card seems to be shaping rather nicely. As reported in July, South Korea-based ROAD Fighting Championship is set to hold its 13th installment on October 12th at the J.H Park Stadium in Gumi, South Korea.

Previously announced match-ups include a rematch, this time with the Lightweight belt hanging in the balance, between Nam Yui-Chul (16-4-1) & Kume Takasuke (15-2-4) and a 135-lbs Super Fight bout pitting former UFC veteran Issei Tamura (7-4) against a yet-to-be-named opponent.

ROAD FC 013 adds Featherweight Tournament semi-finals

roadfc013_featherweighttournamentNow, ROAD FC has slated the Featherweight Tournament semi-final match-ups to the event, making this line-up one of the promotion’s most stacked to date.

In the first bracket, following his Decision victory over former UFC veteran Michihiro Omigawa in the quarter-finals, Bae Young Kwon (8-3) returns and he will be locking horns with DEEP staple, Umeda Kosuke (13-12-3). With more than twice as many fights as his opponent, Kosuke’s experience will play a pivotal role in securing a spot in the finals. Kwon, in the meantime, needs no introductions, having fought in ONE FC and being labelled as one of South Korea’s top MMA fighters.

The second semi-final bout pits Kil Young Bok (5-2) against Choi Moo Gyum (1-0). Both fighters earned decision victories in their quarter finals match-ups at ROAD FC 012 en route to earning their tickets to the semis.
