|

Francisco Trinaldo welcomed Piotr Hallmann to the Octagon in the third bout of the FOX Sports 1 main card.

The two started early – putting everything behind all of their punches to start things off. A body kick that Trinaldo landed with about 3-minutes left in the round stunned Hallmann, he landed a second one which dropped him. Hallmann got back to his feet and Trinaldo continued to punish the body with kicks and punches. A takedown by Trinaldo finished the round.

Trinaldo looked to land a high-kick to start the round, but Hallmann caught it and took him to the ground. The Brazilian was able to get back to the feet and fell into top position after a failed high kick by Hallmann. The roles reversed near the end of the second round, as Hallmann was punishing Trinaldo in the top position. With just over one-minute left Hallmann locked in a tight shoulder lock and forced Trinaldo to tap.
