Later this month, the 40th installment of Pacific X-Treme Combat is set to take place in Guam with a Bantamweight title headliner pitting undefeated champ Michinori Tanaka (8-0) against Kyle Aguon (6-3).

PXC 40 adds Jones-Cacdac, Alvarez-Park and Chope-Nakayama, among others

That, along with a host of other match-ups have been slated to the fight card.

Will Chope (18-5) makes his PXC debut against Takumi Nakayama (18-13-6, 1 NC) in the Featherweight division, Patricia Vidonic (8-6) is set to face Mei Yamaguchi (11-5-1) in the only women’s match-up announced thus far, Tyrone Jones (2-2) takes on Chuji Kato (4-1-1) at 155-lbs, with Jones-Cacdac, Alvarez-Park and Kim-Reyes among others making up the rest of the updated fight card.

Officials revealed the match-ups through the promotion’s Facebook platform.

As Asia’s tallest 145-lbs fighter, Will Chope makes his promotional debut at PXC 40 after relinquishing his URCC belt in order to pen a deal with the Guam-based organization. In Chope’s words, “PXC is a proven route to the UFC”, but he will have to get past Takumi Nakayama before he can have any thoughts of fighting in the octagon.

Nakayama, meanwhile, is a former King of Pancrase champ who had a successful debut under the PXC banner when he defeated Jonathan Pecyna at PXC 37.

PXC vets Jones and Kato will also collide on fight night at 155-lbs. Both fighters are coming off victories in their previous PXC outings, with Jones defeating Mike Taitano at PXC 38 and Kato drubbing Egon Racz at PXC 35.

The women will be looking to steal the spotlight as well when Patricia Vidonic takes on Mei Yamaguchi at 115-lbs. Both combatants are scheduled to make their respective promotional debuts. Vidonic has gone 1-1 ever since departing the Bellator MMA banner, while Yamaguchi has been a primary staple of the Japanese MMA scene having competed in Jewels, Pancrase and Vale Tudo Japan.

On the heels of a Unanimous Decision victory over Troy Bantiag in May, Guam-native Trevin Jones (3-2) will be hoping to make it two wins on the trot at PXC 40. He takes on veteran Alvin Cacdac (13-10), whose last PXC appearance came at PXC 35 where he was submitted by current 125-lbs contender, Louis Smolka.

Elsewhere, Shane Alvarez (8-1) vs. Han Bin Park (1-0) goes down at Bantamweight, with Kyle Reyes (3-1) vs. Tae Kyun Kim (2-1) and Mklane Alfred (2-0) vs. Josh Duenas (3-3) rounding off the rest of the announced match-ups.

PXC 40 goes down on October 25 at Guam’s UOG Fieldhouse. The main card will be streamed online at https://www.facebook.com/pxcmma.
