Souza (19-3 1NC) is currently riding a five-fight winning streak. Since coming over from Strikeforce, Souza has dominated his two UFC opponents. In his UFC debut “Jacare” tapped out Chris Camozzi via arm-triangle and he finished Yushin Okami via TKO in the very first round. The last time Souza was defeated, was against Luke Rockhold when he lost his Strikeforce middleweight championship.

Carmont (22-7) is also on quite the winning streak – currently sitting at 11. He is 5-0 inside the UFC Octagon and most recently he defeated Costa Philippou via unanimous decision. A couple of the French-Canadian’s victories in the UFC have come in controversial fashion, but as Dana White says, you should never leave it in the hands of the judges.

UFC Fight Night 36 goes down on February 15, 2014 from the Arena Jaraguá in Jaraguá do Sul, Brazil. Headlining the night will be another middleweight match-up between Lyoto Machida and Gegard Mousasi.
