Mark Hunt vs Antonio Silva declared a Majority Draw in 5-round classic

Both fighters had their fair share of moments during the fight. In the first round, “Bigfoot” landed multiple kicks in hopes of shutting Hunt’s kicking game down. And it proved to be successful, as z hard kick in the latter stages of the frame had Hunt on wobbly legs.

Hunt, though, showcased his improved grappling as the fight progressed, scoring some takedowns of his own. He also knocked “Bigfoot” down with a massive right hand and was close to a finish, if not for the heart of his opponent.

“Bigfoot” Silva also had a near finish of his own when he mounted Hunt following a barrage of punches, but the “Super Samoan” dug deep and lasted the round.

The final stanza saw both fighters visibly tired and fatigued, but they kept going till the very end. The judges’ scores card declared the bout a majority draw, a result that most would be content to take given the fact that there was honestly no losers in this one.

A great feature of heart, resilience and tenacity from Hunt and Silva as they put on a fight that will no doubt be remembered for a very long time.
