UFC returns to Dublin July 19, McGregor vs Miller rumoured to headline

UFC officials announced the event on Thursday.

While there have been no fights officially announced, MMASucka.com columnist Callum Leslie sent out a tweet on Monday suggesting the organization is working on a main event between Conor McGregor and Cole Miller.

McGregor (14-2) is riding a ten-fight winning streak, with two of those coming inside the Octagon. After winning the Cage Warriors featherweight and lightweight title, McGregor made his promotional debut at UFC on FUEL TV 9. “Notorious” finished Marcus Brimage by TKO in the very first round, earning himself ‘Knockout of the Night’ honors. In his sophomore appearance he earned a unanimous decision against Max Holloway at UFC Fight Night 26.

Following the bout with Holloway, an MRI revealed McGregor had torn his ACL and has been out of action since that bout.

Miller (21-8) most recently defeated Sam Sicilia at UFC Fight Night 35 in January, earning himself ‘Submission of the Night’ honors. Prior to that bout he defeated Andy Ogle at UFC Fight Night 30. The American Top Team product has called out numerous fighters after his victories, but McGregor is a fight that he has been asking for, for quite some time.

Since his UFC debut, Miller has gone 10-6.

The Dublin UFC Fight Night event takes place on July 19, with the venue and ticket details to come at a later date. Again the McGregor vs. Miller bout is still a rumor, so keep it locked to MMASucka.com for more on the Dublin fight card as it arises.
