Patrick Cummins takes on Francimar Barroso at UFC Fight Night 43

|

Heavyweights Patrick Cummins and Francimar Barroso will square off inside the Octagon at UFC Fight Night 43 in Albuquerque.

UFC officials announced the latest match-up on Friday.

Cummins (4-1) stepped in on short notice to take on Daniel Cormier at UFC 170 in February. He was outclassed by Cormier and finished just 1:19 in to the very first round. He will get his second chance inside the Octagon at UFC Fight Night 43 this June.

Barroso (18-4) is 1-1 under the UFC banner. He won his debut with the organization, winning a decision against Ednaldo Oliveira at UFC 163, however lost a split decision to Hans Stringer at UFC Fight Night 39 in March.

The Cummins vs. Barroso match will likely take place on the evenings preliminary card, which airs on UFC Fight Pass and FOX Sports 1.

UFC Fight Night 43 goes down on June 7 from the Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque and will feature Benson Henderson and Rustam Khabilov as the evenings main event.
