UFC officials announced the bout on Thursday.

Johnson (19-10) was most recently seen on TUF Nations and made his mark in his first fight against Brendan O’Reilly in episode 1. He went on to fight his teammate Chad Laprise in the semi-finals and was knocked out in the third round. Coming in to the TUF house, Johnson was riding a two-fight winning streak and was 7-1 in his last eight fights.

Due to injury, “Ragin” had not seen cage time since his 2011 submission victory against Richie Whitson at MFC 31.

Bang (16-8) lost his UFC debut against Mairbek Taisumov at UFC Fight Night 34 in Singapore in January. Prior to that loss, “The Supernatural” finished Joo Dong Hwang at Top FC – Original in South Korea.

Bang has fought for a number of top organizations including ROAD FC, Sengoku and DEEP.

The Johnson vs. Bang bout will likely take place on the preliminary portion of the UFC 174 fight card.

UFC 174 goes down on June 14th at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC. The main event is a UFC Flyweight Title bout pitting champion Demetrious Johnson against hard-hitting Russian samboist Ali Bagautinov. Stay tuned to MMASucka for more on this and other events.
