ONE FC 16: Honor & Glory final fight card set with eleven bouts

|

ONE FC’s return to Singapore next month is a go.

The organization today announced the full fight card for ONE FC 16: Honor & Glory which included the final touches of Eddie Ng (7-1) vs. Vincent Latoel (14-14-2) at Welterweight and Honorio Banario (8-3) vs. Jadamba Narantungalag (8-3) at Featherweight.

Officials confirmed the match-ups with MMASucka.com on Tuesday morning.

ONE FC 16: Honor & Glory takes place May 30 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. The main card airs LIVE on Star Sports in Asia, and streams LIVE on an online pay-per-view for US$9.99.

Ng, 28, fights out of the established Evolve MMA fight team in Singapore. He’s currently unbeaten under the ONE FC banner with four straight stoppage victories, and is easily recognized as one of the region’s hottest Lightweight commodities.

Latoel, from the Netherlands, submitted Willy Ni in his ONE FC debut in September last year, before dropping a Unanimous Decision setback to Eduard Folayang in his second outing with the outfit three months later. The 35-year-old brings a wealth of experience to this 170-lbs affair having fought in 30 pro MMA contests.

Former ONE FC champ, Banario, looks to rebound from back-to-back knockout defeats in his Featherweight title match-ups against Koji Oishi. It’s well worth noting that the Team Lakay product is yet to see his fight go to the judges’ scorecards thus far.

Narantungalag, meanwhile, is a former champ in the now defunct Legend FC promotion. After a 0-2 start to his career, the 38-year-old amassed an eight-fight winning streak that included victories over notables Nam Yui Chul and Adrian Pang. He will be making his promotional debut come fight night.

Bruno Pucci (3-0) received a new opponent after BRACE champ Martin Nguyen (3-0) was rendered unable to compete because of an infection. ONE FC, though, was quick to sought Major Overall (4-1) as the Australian’s replacement. The American’s lone career defeat came in his ONE FC debut two years ago at ONE FC 3: War of the Lions.

As previously announced, Ben Askren (12-0) puts his unbeaten record on the line in the main event as he clashes with Azerbaijan prospect, Bakhtiyar Abbasov (11-2).

The likes of former UFC veteran Caros Fodor, former Legend FC champ Ji Xian and Singapore’s MMA starlet Radeem Rahman are also slated to fight on the card.

“After months of anticipation, ONE FC will return to Singapore with another explosive night of world-class mixed martial arts action. Fans around the world have been eagerly awaiting the ONE FC debut of top welterweight, Ben Askren. He faces the toughest test of his career when he goes up against another top welterweight, Bakhtiyar Abbasov,” said Victor Cui, CEO of ONE FC. “ONE FC is redefining the mixed martial arts landscape and close to 12,000 fans will pack out the arena to witness history at ONE FC: HONOR & GLORY!”

With that, the updated line-up for ONE FC 16: Honor & Glory now includes:

  • Ben Askren vs. Bakhtiyar Abbasov
  • Eddie Ng vs. Vincent Latoel
  • Caros Fodor vs. Willy Ni
  • Jake Butler vs. Pane Haraki
  • Bruno Pucci vs. Major Overall
  • Radeem Rahman vs. Raymond Tan
  • Ji Xian vs. Thanh Vu
  • Honorio Banario vs. Jadamba Narantungalag
  • Alan Ngalani vs. Che Lewis Perry
  • Stephen Langdown vs. Casey Suire
  • Nik Harris vs. Brad Robinson
