The 5 round war for the promotion’s interim lightweight title made a case that it should have been the main event instead of the penultimate bout of Bellator 120. Michael Chandler was able to take the first two rounds, with extremely short-notice challenger “Ill” Will Brooks taking the 3rd and 4th. The 5th round was close, but in the end, 2 out of 3 judges scored it for Brooks, giving him the upset and the interim lightweight title.
