Fivestar Fight League returns home to Fort St. John on Friday October 3 for Fivestar Fight League 13 Vindicated.
In the main event middleweight champion and hometown boy Brad Stewart will put his title on the line against Vancouver’s undefeated Brendan Kornberger.
Stewart (7-2) is currently riding a three-fight winning streak, including a title defense. Stewart stepped inside the Fivestar cage last May to beat Baker for the strap. Under a year later he defended the belt for the first time when he knocked out Cody Krahn in the third round of their FFL 11 battle.
Kornberger (4-0) has fought on some of the largest stages in Canada already. He kicked off his pro career with King of the Cage and then fought his next two bouts under the MFC banner. Most recently the Vancouver native beat Micah Brakefield at World Series of Fighting 7 last December in front of his hometown crowd.
Also on the card is the FFL Welterweight Champion and Fort St. John’s own Duncan Wilson, who will step inside the Fivestar cage against American Matt Coble in a non-title bout. FFL’s Featherweight Champion Shawn Albrecht is moving up to 155-pounds for this fight card and will take on Jon Cowan.
Fivestar Fight League 13 “Vindicated” goes down on October 3 from the Fort St. John Curling Rink. Tickets on sale August 1st at locations to be announced.
