Anthony Perosh meets Guto Inocente in Australia

|

UFC Fight Night 55 gets it’s first fight in the form of Anthony Perosh vs. Guto Inocente.

Inocente confirmed the news to MMAFighting.com early Tuesday morning.

Perosh (14-8) has dropped two of his last four bouts inside the octagon. He last fought in December of 2013 and dropped a decision to Ryan Bader who dominated him throughout the fight using his superior wrestling. Prior to this was coming off of a big upset win in Brazil where he needed just 14 seconds to knock favorite Vinny Magalhaes unconscious. This unsurprisingly took home the “Knockout of the Night” bonus.

Inocente (6-3) hasn’t been the most active fighter over the last few years. He has had one fight since 2012 which he dropped to heavy hitting Derrick Lewis in July of 2014. This was his UFC debut.  Before this he had not fought since January of 2012. In said fight he defeated Virgil Zwicker via unanimous decision under the Strikeforce banner. He fought Zwicker at light heavyweight and will be returning to the weight class to take on Anthony Perosh.

The bouts placement on the card is unknown at this time.

UFC Fight Night 55 is expected to take place on November 8 in Perosh’s backyard of Sydney, Australia.
