Tuff-N-Uff teams up with Candlelighters for fifth annual Knockout Cancer event

Now in its fifth year, “Round 5: Knockout Cancer for Candlelighters Kids,” is an annual Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and Boxing event that was created to help raise funds and awareness for Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada. This year’s event will be held at the Texas Station. Doors open at 6 p.m. and tickets are available starting at just $25 through  candlelightersnv.org  or through  Ticketmaster.com  or by visiting any Station Casino box office.
Following four successful years, Knockout Cancer continues to grow in size and finds a new home at the Texas Station. This exciting, unique charity event features a night of amazing fights and a fabulous charity raffle. New to the event is the expansion of kickboxing and jiu jitsu.  There will be something for everyone with three MMA bouts, three boxing bouts, three kickboxing bouts and three jiu jitsu bouts. This marks the third year in a row that Tuff-N-Uff will present MMA bouts at the Knockout Cancer event.
Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada provides necessary support and services for local families of children diagnosed with cancer, having helped several thousands of children in our community since the organization was founded in 1978. Candlelighters serves approximately 100 families monthly, and as many as 300 families throughout the year and funds raised by events such as Knockout Cancer, help the organization provide much needed services.
Knockout Cancer continues to build on its efforts to raise more money and help more children. The event has raised over $100,000 since its first year and with help of their generous sponsors and donations, the event returns this October 3rd at the Texas Station for its biggest year to date.
