Rafael Dos Anjos became the first fighter in history to stop former UFC champ Benson Henderson by KO or TKO.
Many people wrote off Rafael Dos Anjos when he was announced as the next challenger to Anthony Pettis’ lightweight throne. The Brazilian proved those people wrong at UFC 185, in Dallas, TX’s American Airlines Center. The Kings MMA trainee showcased varied striking, well-timed takedowns, and superb positional jiu jitsu as he battered “Showtime” from pillar to post over the course of five rounds. After 25 minutes, Dos Anjos had his hand raised and was presented with the UFC Lightweight Title on the back of a dominant unanimous decision victory.
