Undefeated prospect Mazdak Porbolough will make the drop to welterweight to fight Battlefield Fight League Amateur Champion Chris Anderson at BFL 36 in May.

MMASucka.com learned of the fight from sources close to the bout.

Porbolough (3-0) made his debut in December 2013 with a spectacular 26-second submission victory over Andrew Gualini. The Titan MMA fighter has won his next two outings, with his most recent being another first round submission against Peter Merkley at BFL 34 in January. All three of Porbolough’s victories have come via first round submission. The Port Moody, B.C. native was expected to take on Toshido MMA’s Justin Doege at this past month’s BFL 35 event, however an injury forced Doege out of action.

Anderson (7-2) finished Perry Hayer at BFL 34 to earn the amateur title. He is currently 3-1 under the promotions banner and will look to get his fourth victory against Porbolough at BFL 36. “Bukwas” ventured out of B.C. to take on Mac Laursen at Hard Knocks 42 in Alberta and came home with that promotions 170-pound belt after finishing Laursen in the second round.

BFL 36 goes down on May 30 from the River Rock Casino in Richmond, B.C. A welterweight tussle for professional gold will go down in the evening’s main event, as Ash Mashreghi takes on Dejan Kajic.
