Julian Lane vs. Luis Felix II headlines CES MMA 30

|

CES MMA has announced the main event for their 30th card, and it sees a rematch as Julian ‘Nitrane’ Lane takes on Luis ‘Rockstar’ Felix, the man he beat to earn his CES MMA lightweight title in 2014.

The fight announcement was announced by CES MMA officials on Wednesday. Check out the official announcement on the CES MMA website.

Lane (9-3-1) is a veteran of season sixteen of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ who has won four straight. Since losing to Paul Felder in October of 2013, Lane has won four straight, most recently defeating Lucas Cruz via split decision to retain his CES MMA lightweight title. Before that he faced Luis Felix to determine a lightweight champ, Lane won via technical submission in the final seconds of round three. Can he do it again?

Felix (13-8) has been with CES MMA since the beginning, having fought on their first show in September of 2010. Since losing to Lane in 2014, Felix has won two in a row, most recently stopping Reggie Merriweather with strikes in round one at CES MMA 28 in March of this year. Both of his fights since his loss to Julian Lane have been contested at a catch-weight of 160 pounds.

As noted in the title, Julian Lane vs. Luis Felix II will be the main attraction of CES MMA 30.

CES MMA 30 is expected to take place on August 14 at the Twin River Casino in Lincoln, Rhode Island. It will be headlined by the rematch between Lane and Felix. Other notable names on the card include; Dan Lauzon, Pat Walsh, Jesse McElligot and Peggy Morgan. As well as prospects such as Jessy Miele.
