A middleweight title fight between champion Chris Weidman and top contender Luke Rockhold has been confirmed for the co-main event of December’s UFC 194.

The news was announced on ESPN’s SportsCenter on Thursday.

Weidman is coming off a big TKO win over Vitor Belfort at UFC 187. Prior to that, he defeated Lyoto Machida by unanimous decision in a ‘Fight of the Year’ candidate.

Rockhold, most recently, defeated Machida by second-round submission in the headliner of UFC on FOX 15 earlier this year. Currently riding a four-fight winning streak, he also holds a stoppage over Michael Bisping.

UFC 194 takes place live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Dec. 12. In the main event, Jose Aldo faces Conor McGregor to unify the featherweight championship.
