Sage Northcutt vs. Cody Pfister added to Fight Pass card on December 10

|

Following a successful UFC debut, 19-year-old Sage Northcutt returns to action vs. the always tough Cody Pfister live on Fight Pass.

The bout was announced by the promotion on Monday.

Northcutt (6-0) is a life-long martial artist who spent a majority of his young professional career in Legacy FC. It was announced minutes after his submission victory over Rocky Long that he had signed with the UFC. The UFC showcased the signing in their pilot episode of Dana White: Looking For a Fight. He made his debut at UFC 192 and needed less than a minute to stop Francisco Trevino.

Pfister (12-4-1) is a up-and-comer much like Northcutt, but with a fraction of the hype and attention. The former Top Alliance Combat lightweight champion made his UFC debut in early 2015 and was submitted by James Moontasri. He rebounded with a unanimous decision win over Yosdenis Cedeno at UFC 189.

UFC Fight Night 80 is set for December 10, live on UFC Fight Pass. It will take place at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, Nevada.

UFC Fight Night 80 is set to kick off the UFC’s huge three-day stretch in Las Vegas, ending with the hotly anticipated UFC 194. The card will be headlined by a women’s strawweight bout between Paige VanZant and Joanne Calderwood. The confirmed co-main event of the evening sees lightweight grapplers Jim Miller and Mike Chiesa face off. With the addition of Northcutt/Pfister, this card has 13 fights and is likely complete.
