Bellator 150: Galvao vs. Dantas II has been announced during the Bellator 147: Thomson vs. Villaseca broadcast. It will feature the highly-anticipated rematch between champion Marcos Galvao and Eduardo ‘Dudu’ Dantas as well as the return of fan-favorite David ‘The Caveman’ Rickels.

Previously booked to fight at ‘Bellator 144: Halsey vs. Carvalho’Dantas had to pull out of the fight following a rib injury during training camp. Now, fully recovered, the promotion has rebooked the bout for February 26, 2016.

Bantamweight Champion Galvao (17-6-1) has been fighting in the big leagues since 2003 in promotions like the WEC and Shooto. Now, after ten bouts in the Bellator cage, the 34-year-old will look to make it five-wins in a row when he faces Dantas. He won the title by submitting champion Joe Warren at ‘Bellator 133: Warren vs. Galvao II’.

Former Champion Dantas (17-4) has not been as active as he would like to be over the last few years, having only four fights in the Bellator MMA cage since losing to Tyson Nam in August of 2012 under the Shooto banner. Going into the Nam fight as Bellator champion, Dantas remained the Bellator champion and successfully defended it by finishing both Anthony Leone and Marcos Galvao before losing it to Joe Warren. Since losing the title to Warren, he has picked up a win over Mike Richman while Warren went on to be dethroned by Galvao.

Along with the world title bout, fan-favorite and Kansasown; DavidThe CavemanRickels (16-4, 1NC) will return to action following a (T)KO loss to long-time contender Michael Chandler. Rickels is known for his always exciting, allaction fighting style that has earned him finishes over the likes of Saad Awad, JJ Ambrose and Lloyd Woodard.

‘Bellator 150: Galvao vs. Dantas II‘ will take place on February 26 at the Kansas Star Arena in Mulvane, Kansas.
