Rory MacDonald vs Brian Ebersole At UFC 140 In Toronto

|

Today is a day full of fight announcements. The next one to hit the list is none other than rising welterweight Rory MacDonald who will be taking on veteran Brian Ebersole at UFC 140 in Toronto, Canada.

The UFC made the announcement earlier today.

The last time both men fought was at UFC 133. MacDonald made quick work of his opponent Mike Pyle in the first fight on the PPV telecast. While Ebersole also made fairly quick work of Dennis Hallman and his banana hammock.

During one of Ebersole’s post fight interviews he clearly stated that he would like to fight a veteran of the sport such as Renzo Gracie or someone of that nature. He said he would not like to take on Rory MacDonald. Obviously the UFC did not hear that interview, or they just see the matchup a tad bit different than he does.

What are your thoughts on this fight? Does Ebersole stand a chance against the rising talent that is Rory Macdonald? Will this fight push either one of these guys that much closer to a title shot? Let us know below in the comments box.
