Broken Hand Sidelines Champion Dominick Cruz

Dominick Cruz defended his UFC Bantamweight Championship against Demetrious Johnson in a 5 round all out war, but it’s shocking that he lasted the entire 5 rounds.

UFC President Dana White stood and spoke with the media for 45 minutes last night following the UFC on Versus 6 Post-Fight Press Conference. The first thing White mentioned to the media was that Cruz fought the majority of the fight with a broken hand.

He sits through the whole press conference, doesn’t say anything, I said to him, ‘You’re not gonna talk about your broken hand? He said, ‘What’s the point? I’m gonna get it done and I’ll be back.’ I respect that.

With Cruz out indefinitely, it was mentioned that a possible return fight would be between Cruz and the winner of Brian Bowles vs. Urijah Faber. Both men have fought Cruz before, most recently Faber, more than likely the winner would get the shot. Dana responded with…
