UFC 137 Bonuses: Diaz, Penn, Cerrone and Palaszewski Take Home $75K

For a card that lost a lot of steam when Georges St-Pierre pulled out due to injury; UFC 137 definitely didn’t disappoint. In the main event BJ Penn and Nick Diaz went at each other for three full rounds, with both men looking like battered warriors at the end. Diaz came out on top and called out GSP in his post fight speech, whereas Penn told the fans that he was finished in the octagon in his. In the co-main event Cheick Kongo continued his unbeaten streak to four fights and derailed the formerly unbeaten Matt Mitrione by unanimous decision. Roy Nelson called out the top of the heap after beating Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic by 3rd round TKO. Rounding out the main card was Scott Jorgensen taking a decision over Jeff Curran and Hatsu Hioki defeated George Roop in his UFC Debut.

The UFC awarded $75,000 in bonuses to the night’s top performers, Dana White announced immediately following the event.
