Dan Miller moves to welterweight, debuts against Ricardo Funch at UFC on FX 4

Dan Miller who made his home at middleweight since he began his MMA career back in 2005 has decided to make the drop to welterweight.

UFC officials made the announcement earlier this week.

Two welterweight bouts will pit the best of Brazil against home-grown talent. Jersey boy Dan Miller will drop to welterweight for the first time in his UFC career for a fight against Ricardo Funch.

Miller decided to make the move down to welterweight after losing his last two fights. At UFC 128 he lost a unanimous decision to former UFC fighter Nate Marquardt and at UFC 134 he lost another decision to Rousimar Palhares.

Miller’s opponent Funch is looking to get in the winning column after going 0-3 in his UFC career.
