Lyoto Machida vs. Ryan Bader to square off at UFC on FOX 4

|

This August, the UFC will make its fourth appearance on the FOX network and they have already announced a key matchup.

Today via the UFC official twitter account they stated that at UFC on FOX 4, Lyoto Machida would take on Ryan Bader in a light heavyweight match.

Bader (14-2) was undefeated at 12-0 until he took a turn for the worst and lost two in a row, to Jon Jones and Tito Ortiz. He has since won his next two bouts against Justin Brilz at UFC 139 and edged out a unanimous decision victory over Quinton “Rampage” Jackson at UFC 144 in Japan.

Machida (17-3) has gone 1-3 in his last four fights losing to Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Jon Jones, with his lone victory coming over former champ Randy Couture.

UFC on FOX 4 is expected to take place on August 4 in Los Angeles, California. Also on that card is a showdown between former Bellator Champion Hector Lombard and Brian Stann.
