ONE Fighting Championship continues to add more fuel to its already scintillating fight card, that’s set to go down August 31st, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Manilla, Philippines.

The event, titled ‘Pride of a Nation’ will be the promotion’s 5th outing overall, following successes in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. The Singapore-based organization will now head to the Philippines for the first time, where it plans to showcase arguably the biggest MMA event in front of an expected crowd of 16,500.

Today, the promotion announced (via Facebook) that reigning CFC Bantamweight Champion Gustavo Falciroli, will be joining the likes of newly signed former UFC Heavyweight Champion Andrei Arlovski and former UFC Lightweight Champion Jens Pulver at ONE FC 5: Pride of a Nation.

Falciroli’s opponent, however, was not named.

The Brazilian-born Australian has never been finished in all of his 17 professional bouts, and is 4-1 ever since winning the CFC Bantamweight strap. As a matter of fact, Falciroli’s upcoming bout at ONE FC 5: Pride of a Nation will not be his promotional debut. The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt competed at ONE FC 2: Battle of Heroes back in February, where he submitted Korean Soo Chul Kim, at 1:12s of the very first round in front of a sold-out crowd in Jakarta, Indonesia. Falciroli will now look to make it 3 wins on the trot, on August 31st.

With that said, ONE Fighting Championship is ensuring that its upcoming card is nothing but all Jekyll and no Hyde. The Singapore-based promotion has already booked the likes of Phil Baroni and Australian Juggernaut Sao Palelei for its upcoming card, and no one knows what the promotion has in store for fight fans in the upcoming weeks.
