Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Dave Herman at UFC 153

|

The UFC lost the main event and the co-main event of UFC 153 both in the same day. UFC President Dana White and match-maker Joe Silva must have been running rampant trying to find replacements.

According to MMAWeekly.com some of their work is done. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Dave “Pee Wee” Herman have reportedly agreed to face-off at UFC 153, Tatame.com reporter Guilherme Cruz first reported the match

Nogueira (33-7-1) has been out of action for nearly a year. His last fight was against Frank Mir at UFC 140, where “Big Nog” refused to tap to Mir’s kimura and unfortunately broke his right humerus. He was expected to fight at UFC 149 against Shawn Jordan, but had to withdraw as the arm wasn’t quite ready.

Herman (21-4) has lost his last two fights against Stefan Struve and Roy Nelson. Prior to those two fights he was on a three fight winning streak; with one of those including his UFC debut against John-Olav Einemo. Herman looks to not make it three in a row at UFC 153.

The main event of UFC 153 is expected to be a light heavyweight showdown between Anderson Silva and Stephan Bonnar
