Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Travis Browne set for TUF 17 Finale

|

On April 13 two heavyweights will clash inside the Octagon, as Gabriel Gonzaga will go toe-to-toe with Travis Brown.

UFC President Dana White announced the match-up early Monday morning.

The two will square off at the The Ultimate Fighter 17 finale.

Gonzaga (14-6) was released from the UFC back in 2010. He went on to fight one fight for Reality Fighting and won their heavyweight title. “Napao” was then re-signed to the organization and upon his return has gone on a two fight winning streak. Most recently he defeated Ben Rothwell by guillotine choke at UFC on FX 7.

Browne (13-1-1) los his first professional bout in his last outing against Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva at UFC on FX 5. He tore his left hamstring early in that bout and has been out of action since October of last year. The Hawaiian native will look at getting back into the win column and back on track for a UFC heavyweight title shot.

The TUF 17 Finale will go down on April 13 from  the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Also featured on the card will be the middleweight tournament finals.
