Sparks will fly at middleweight when “The Villian” steps into the cage with “Makambo” at UFC on FS1 2 on Aug. 28th.

The bout was initially announced by Australia’s MMA Kanvas and later confirmed by UFC officials.

Dylan “The Villian” Andrews (16-4, 1 NC) became known to North American fight fans via the 17th season of the Ultimate Fighter. One of the last picks for Team Jones, he was defeated in the semi-finals by flashy knockout artist Uriah Hall, but bounced back at the finale with a TKO victory over fellow TUF competitor Jimmy Quinlan. A powerful striker, the member of Potential Unlimited MMA will be looking to finish Abedi with the quickness in order to pick up his second straight UFC victory. Will his striking be enough to overcome “Makambo?”

Papy “Makambo” Abedi (9-2) saved himself from the cut list with his victory over Besam Yousif at UFC on Fuel TV 9, bringing his UFC record to 1-2. Another striking focused fighter, the majority of Abedi’s victories come by way of KO or TKO.  However, the Stockholm, Sweden-based fighter’s submission defense is best described as a work in progress, and “The Villian” has 3 submission victories name. Will Abedi be able to stave off the New Zealander’s assault and make it two in a row?

UFC on FS1 2 takes place on Aug. 28th at the Banker’s Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, IN. The main event is scheduled to be a welterweight affair, rematching Carlos Condit and Martin Kampmann. For more on this and other upcoming events, stay tuned to MMASucka.
