ROAD FC 013 announces headlining bout

|

Nam Yui-Chul (16-4-1) garnered the ROAD FC Lightweight strap after going 4 rounds against Kume Takasuke (15-2-4) at ROAD FC 011 in April of this year. 6 months on, the champion has now been tasked to face Takasuke once again in a rematch, with the 145-lbs title on the line. The match-up will headline ROAD FC 013, the promotion’s latest installment which goes down on October 12th at the J.H Park Stadium situated in Gumi, South Korea.

ROAD FC 013 announces headlining bout

Both Yui-Chul and Takasuke were finalists of the South Korea-based promotion’s Lightweight tournament. The bout was initially scheduled for 3 rounds, however, 15 minutes was clearly not enough for the judges to render a decision and a winner. A fourth and final round was eventually slated and it was Yui-Chul who took home a close Unanimous Decision victory along with the promotion’s Lightweight belt.

That loss snapped Takasuke’s 9-fight winning streak; the Japanese fighter’s first defeat in 3 years. Yui-Chul, in the meantime, will be looking to continue his momentum by making it 4-wins on the trot come fight night on October 12th. He holds notable victories over Vuyisille Colossa and Rob Hill.

ROAD Fighting Championship also made an announcement through its official Facebook page that former UFC veteran Issei Tamura (7-4) will be making his promotional debut in a Bantamweight super fight on the same night. An opponent, however, was not named.
