Video: Shinichi Kojima vs Andrew Leone Preview

|

Shinichi Kojima (13-5-5) and Andrew Leone (6-2) will be headlining their first ONE FC event on September 13th, when the Singapore-based ONE Fighting Championship makes its second return to Jakarta, Indonesia for ONE FC 10: Champions & Warriors.

Although both fighters share a 1-0 record under the ONE FC banner, it’s Kojima who may have the edge in experience having fought well over 20 times in his MMA career thus far. But it would be criminal to disregard Leone’s chances in this Flyweight tilt. In fact, many are anticipating a win for the Phuket Top Team native.

Leone stepped in as a replacement for Yasuhiro Urushitani (20-6-6), who was originally scheduled to face Kojima for the inaugural ONE FC 125-lbs belt. However, due to undisclosed reasons, Urushitani was scratched from the card.

While the American, Leone, is known to be one of Asia’s most formidable grapplers, Kojima boasts a resume of seven submission victories, perhaps indicating that the Japanese fighter is no slouch on the canvas as well.

Whatever the outcome, the winner will take a step closer towards ONE FC gold.
