The card featured the start of this season’s middleweight tournament, and was headlined by a middleweight title bout between champion Alexander Shlemenko and replacement challenger Brett Cooper. Joe Warren’s bout with Nick Kirk was pulled from the card after the local athletic commission refused to medically clear Warren.
