A battle between WMMA originals has now become old-school vs. new-school, as Kelly Kobold was forced to withdraw from her bout at Invicta 7 against Tonya Evinger. Replacing Kobold will be Sarah “The Monster” D’alelio.

Invicta FC President Shannon Knapp made the announcement earlier tonight on AXS TV’s Inside MMA.

Tonya “Triple Threat” Evinger (11-6) is one of the pioneers of WMMA, fighting since 2006. Originally a wrestler by trade, Evinger was last seen losing to current TUF 18 semi-finalist Raquel Pennington during this season’s preliminary fights. She’s hoping to bounce back with a victory over the game D’alelio. Will she get her next win over “The Monster?”

Sarah “The Monster” D’alelio (7-4) is one of the new breed of female fighters at 135 lbs. A grappling stand-out as well, the Combat Sports Academy member has gone 3-2 in her time with Invicta. She was last seen losing a decision to Lauren Murphy at Invicta FC 6, and will be hoping to use her submission skills to get back on the winning track. Will she be able to make “Triple Threat” tap?

Invicta FC 7 goes down on December 7th at the Ameristar Hotel Casino in Kansas City, MO. The main event is currently a flyweight title bout pitting powerhouse Barb Honchak against the Cesar Gracie-trained Leslie Smith. Stay tuned to MMASucka for more on this and other upcoming events.
