Rousey has been extremely vocal about how much she dislikes Tate. Tate has tried to defend herself, but the champion has been an absolute hot head since the start of the TUF season. It seems both ladies have some bad intentions going into this fight and it will be interesting to see if Tate has what it takes to dethrone the current champ.

Both women came out swinging and the fight was intense from the start. Both ladies had a chance at the on the ground with top guard opportunities. Rousey tried to lock in the armbar several times but Tate was able to break free.

Tate looks a lot better on the ground and was able to break out of both a triangle and a armbar. She was also trying to get in the clinch with Rousey, which shows her confidence ability.

One thing is for sure, Rousey’s striking looks much better. She’s obviously trying to become a complete fighter and this has been a great display of skill.

Tate is officially the first fighter to make it to the second round with Rousey and does not seem to be very hurt. Tate’s biggest mistake is getting in too close. Every time she tries, Rousey just flips her into side control.

Rousey was able to have her way with Tate in the second round, and the last minute and a half was absolutely amazing. Rousey was able to lock in an armbar which Tate got out of again, but then proceeded to lock in an innovative triangle. Tate was able to last the round and prove that her submission and ground defense has improved tremendously.

The third round started in the clinch against the fence and Rousey was looking for the kill. She pushed hard for the throw and transitioned beautifully till she found the classic armbar. Tate tapped out at 0:58 of the third round.

Even though Rousey left Tate hanging, the fact of the matter is Rousey was tested in this fight and the next challenger will have another chance to take on the undisputed champion.
