A middleweight tussle between Josh Samman and Caio Magalhaes has been added to the UFC on FOX 11 fight card, which takes place in Orlando, Fl.
Josh Samman vs Caio Magalhaes set for UFC on FOX 11
UFC officials announced the match-up on Thursday.
Samman (10-2) is 1-0 inside the UFC Octagon after his time on The Ultimate Fighter 17. Most recently Samman finished Kevin Casey at TUF 17 Finale in April of last year. He was expected to take on Uriah Hall at UFC on FOX Sports 1, however was forced out of the bout with an injury.
Magalhaes (7-1) lost his UFC debut to Buddy Roberts at UFC on FX 3 in June 2012. He since followed up with two straight wins — at UFC on FUEL TV 10 he beat Karlos Vemola and most recently beat Nick Ring at UFC Fight Night 33 in December 2013.
The FOX 11 fight card is quickly filling up and the Samman vs. Magalhaes bout will likely take place on the preliminary portion.
UFC on FOX 11 takes place on April 19 from the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. The main event is a heavyweight tussle between Travis Browne and Fabricio Werdum.
