A welterweight fight between William Macario and Neil Magny has been added to Cincinnati’s UFC Fight Night 40 card.

UFC officials announced the match-up on Thursday morning.
Macario (7-1) is 1-1 inside the UFC Octagon and most recently picked up a unanimous decision victory against Bobby Voelker at UFC 168. Prior to his UFC debut, the Brazilian was 6-0 under numerous regional promotions.
Magny (9-3) was a cast member on The Ultimate Fighter Live and lost in the semi-finals to Mike Ricci. He went on to win his promotional debut against fellow semi-finalist Jon Manley at UFC 157. His next two outings were losses to Sergio Moraes and Seth Baczynski, however his most recent bout was a unanimous decision victory against Gasan Umalatov.
The Macario vs. Magny match-up will likely be on the preliminary portion of the night’s fight card.
UFC Fight Night will go down on May 10 from Cincinnati’s U.S. Bank Arena and will be headlined by Matt Brown vs. Erick Silva. Other notable fights that have been announced are Lorenz Larkin vs. Costas Philippou, Erik Koch vs. Daron Cruickshank and Eddie Wineland vs. Johnny Eduardo.
