Holly Holm breaks arm winning Legacy FC title,

|

New Legacy FC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm had a news-making night last night for reasons besides her 5th round head kick TKO victory over Julianna Werner at Legacy FC 30. At some point in the early rounds, “The Preacher’s Daughter” blocked a head kick from Werner that resulted in a fractured forearm, which she tweeted a picture of earlier today.

The injury will undoubtedly result in at least a 60 day suspension for the 7-0 Legacy FC champ. This will give the MMA media plenty of time to obsess over a talking point raised by Holm in her post-fight interview with Pat Miletich. During her post-victory mic time, she expressed interest in fightin Cris “Cyborg” Justino. Whether this will come to fruition remains to be seen, but the prospect of two women considered by many to be the best female fighters not currently signed to the UFC facing off is intriguing.
