REMINDER: NSAC meeting is tomorrow, Wanderlei Silva and other fighters on agenda

|

The next Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) meeting is tomorrow, August 21st.  The meeting begins at 11:30am ET/8:30am PT and takes place in Las Vegas.

Wanderlei Silva is finally scheduled to be on the agenda for the meeting.  Silva ran from a random drug test by the commission earlier this summer.  He was set to face Chael Sonnen at UFC 175 but was replaced by Vitor Belfort after the news broke that he avoided the drug test.  We all know what happens after that.

UFC fighters Kevin Casey and Robert Drysdale will also receive their formal hearing at the meeting.  Casey was successful at UFC 175 on July 5th when he knocked out Bubba Bush.  Drysdale picked up a win as well, at the TUF 19 Finale the next day.

Casey tested positive for drostanolone in his post-fight test and Drysdale tested positive for an elevated testosterone-to-epitestosterone ratio.

All 3 fighters are likely to receive a formal suspension and a fine.

It is unknown whether or not they all will be present at the meeting or calling in.  MMASucka.com talked to the commission and they were unsure until tomorrow if the fighters will be present or not.  Silva is #30 on the agenda, Drysdale follows at #31 and Casey is right behind both at #33.

The meeting will be streamed on UFC Fight Pass.  You can watch the live stream by clicking here.
