The main event for UFC Fight Night Colorado in February has been announced and it’s a welterweight match-up between Matt Brown and Tarec Saffiedine.
UFC Fight Night Colorado headlined by Matt Brown vs Tarec Saffiedine
UFC President Dana White announced the fight at Monday’s “The Time is Now” press conference.
Brown (19-12) was riding a very impressive seven-fight winning streak, which earned him a number one contender bout against Robbie Lawler. He wound up losing a unanimous decision, but still earned “Fight of the Night” for his performance.
Saffiedine (15-4) is also coming off a loss, his to Rory MacDonald at UFC Fight Night 54. Prior to the TKO loss, Saffiedine was riding a five-fight winning streak. The former Strikeforce Welterweight Champion is 1-1 inside the Octagon.
The UFC Fight Night event will go down on February 14 from the 1STBANK Center in Broomfield, Colorado.
